About Me

Hello, thankyou for visiting my Blog.   My name is Steven Thomas James Ramsey.  I was born in Langley B.C. and then raised in Brookswood which is in Langley B.C.  I attended elementary school in Brookswood and graduated from Brookswood Secondary School in 2000.  After that I spent a couple years working at Newlands Golf and Country as a chef and than bartender.    I saved all my money that I could and went travelling to Europe and than Thailand spending over a year in Thailand and 3 months in Europe.   When I got home I went back to work as a bartender at Newlands Golf and Country Club part time and enrolled in the Diesel Technology at V.C.C. for the last one year program.  I graduated in 2007 and received the Grant Sanders scholarship.    I began my apprenticeship for Diesel Engine Mechanic at Cullen Diesel, spent 4 years there.,  I than moved to Cummins in Langley.  I moved up to Northern Alberta and worked in the oilfields for 1 year. I moved back to the lower mainland and than was offered a position as Diesel engine mechanic in Victoria B.C. where I currently reside.     I than worked on bulk carrriers and a variety of Naval Vessels for M.A.N. Diesel where I worked on the largest engines in the world.  I assisted in the commissioning of Naval Vessel Asterix a refuelling and mercy ship.  MAN collapsed in Western Canada and I applied for a position as Marine Engine Mechanic at B.C. Ferries where I currently am employed and have been there since 2017.
